Electric motors are machines designed to transform electrical energy into mechanical energy. These motors are widely used in different sectors of activity and for different purposes, as they combine the advantages of using electrical energy with simple construction and versatility in adapting to the most diverse loads, and are responsible for around 30% of the country's overall electrical consumption.
Dimensioning problems, energy losses in the power systems where they are inserted, the existence of measures that allow increasing the efficiency of motors, represent a relevant area of activity where the potential for energy savings is very significant, which could represent a competitive advantage today.
The implementation of energy efficiency measures applied to driving forces must be carried out by qualified and trained personnel, whose necessary skills we propose to develop with this training, which will have a significant generalist component supported by practical examples.
At the end of this course, trainees will be able to:
• Identify and electrically characterize the different types of electric motors and their applications;
• Correctly select the speed variator according to the type of motor and intended application;
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams of variable speed drives: Frequency inverter and soft-starter;
• Parameterize in your own software or in a console according to a specific application;
• Install and electrify variable speed drives and three-phase asynchronous electric motors;
• Interconnect the operation of frequency inverters with programmable automatons.
This course is aimed at installation/maintenance/technical assistance technicians for industrial installations who need to respond autonomously and safely to installation and maintenance work on industrial equipment. This training is designed to develop skills for technicians with basic knowledge of electricity and automation.
Parameterization software.
